Life after menopause or postmenopause, can be quite a period of relief and concern all at the same time.

The whole menopause stages are what most women dread - with all stories of personal experiences and implications physically, emotionally and almost all aspects of life.

There are good side and bad side but yes there are also remedies and management of risks.

My life after menopause...
It's been 12 consecutive months from my last menstrual period, finally... I'm relieved now and I'm certain that my menopause symptoms will ease off and go in time. For how long you may ask... that I don't know.

With health risks that comes with age, I still have to be mind full and care for myself even more. With cardiovascular illnesses top as the leading case of death among older women on the United States, Canada and Australia, I can't afford to be complacent about my health. Having passed through the most difficult phase, I look forward to a rewarding phase of my life. I know I still have a lot to give as my journey goes on.

Post-menopause - What Is It? 


If you have not had any menstrual period for a whole year, then you are in on the third and last stage of menopause or the postmenopause in another term.


By this stage, you will be relieved of the symptoms and difficult experiences you have gone through during the peri-menopause and menopause, the first and second stages, respectively.


You have quite endured a long time now, as the whole menopause can generally last for four to five years but cases differ among women, some have it longer or shorter; sooner or later.


But remember this, menopause is a natural process and all women get through and will have to get through these stages.

  • You can also look for alternative medicines. Nowadays, many women choose herbs or herbal supplements instead of medicine treatment or hormone therapy although intake of supplements doesn’t have proven research to support claims. Grains and soy are some of the examples of phytoestrogens which are estrogen-like substances naturally-occurring in plants and believed to be helpful in alleviating the symptoms of menopause.
