The Gift of Health for Our 30th Wedding Anniversary

I have spent hours if not days looking for the best gift for my husband for our upcoming 30th year wedding anniversary.

It's a milestone of our journey together so I’m looking for something special with long lasting impact.

With so many suggestions to choose from, I find it hard to decide which one.

Some of the Best Gift for 30th Wedding Anniversary

Too many to choose from and some of the gifts I found online that was on my list were:

  • A fancy watch – he likes watch, but me... I haven’t worn one for the last 8 years since I always check the time on my mobile phone and I don’t feel comfortable when I try to wear my old watches sitting in my drawer.
  • Leather messenger bag for his photography hobby, but he already has few bags just collecting dust.
  • Wooden docking station engraved with his name to keep all his everyday essentials organised and mess free but would he really like this?
  • Smart sunglasses – with bluetooth, open ear audio sunglasses speaker to listen music and make phone calls, water resistance and full UV lens protection for outdoor sports and compatible for all smart phones.

None on the above really stood out to me and the last one got cancelled straight away. Why is it even on my list when I know that Bluetooth technology is not good for our health, I guess I just got excited because it’s something he can use while he’s on his bike.

Now back to the drawing board…

Considering that we are all stressed at the moment, the current economic condition and the uncertainty of the future, our overall health and wellbeing needs to be carefully considered.

Think… think… think… we both prefer experiences rather than material gifts and the original plan was to go on a 3-week overseas trip, but of course COVID-19 came uninvited.

As the special day come closer, I become anxious what to gift him.

Self Care

Self-care is so important for me now and the same applies to my husband and everyone else for that matter.

Since joining Chelsey Jean’s BooBCamP and using her home Lymphatic Drainage massage tools, I started to feel a lot better, no more swollen ankles, I have more energy, my breast feels lighter and I my skin is glowing!

What is this Lymphatic Drainage?

Well, let’s find out first about Lymphatic System – “The lymphatic system measures over 100,000 km in length and plays a significantly powerful role to how good we feel on a daily basis.

Inflammation, disease and 99% of all pain originates in our bodies lymphatic system. It is our gigantic sewer system / immune system / lipid (fat) carrier/ lubricating and delivery system. Clean it out and your pain, inflammation, disease and ill health will reduce dramatically and you will reap the rewards of great health.

Read all about it here on Chelsey’s website.

The Gift of Health

Few weeks prior, I have joined a free online class to help me with my health.

You see, I’ve had lumps taken off three times, first time was back in 1998, then 1999 and then again 2002.  With Mum succumbing to breast cancer at young age of 67, I have to look after myself.

I also had a breast cancer scare during this pandemic, thankfully, the last test was negative but self-care must continue.

What about the Boob Camp? - It's Chelsey’s online program for women to learn the secret to essential detoxification, body remodelling, immune health, fat transportation, metabolism and increased energy levels, achieved by stroking your chest and for women, wiggling your boobs.

She teaches the first step toward unblocking the lymphatic system including daily habits and effective practice of lymphatic flow using her specialised tools, cream, sprays and sponges. The secret is in the sequence and all at the comfort of your home.

When I think of it, men have boobs too and certainly have lymphatic system that needs looking after so it’s a no brainer that doing this with my husband is a great idea.

I explained this to my husband. We looked at each other and we know we have the Best Gift – The Gift of Health. But we both want to take this a little further - we both did our hair test to know exactly what we need to avoid and forget the guessing game.

With the lockdowns in different states, and not knowing what can happen, we booked a 5-day escape in the same state to the far North Coast of NSW. When I heard that the Queensland border will open on the 5th December, even though it will take at least 2.5 hours where we booked accommodation, I quickly booked a personal consultation with Chelsey… I want to see the lady who has helped so many including me!

The day came for our 5-day escape but the rain and thunder is relentless and there’s news of flash flooding. We went on our way anyway, but not wanting to be part of the statistic, I’ve messaged Chelsey to let me know in advance if there is flooding along our way. AND GUESS WHAT at 5:58 am… I received a call from Chelsey herself asking how and where we are. She have love and concern, I can feel it in her voice, and I can tell her passion for what she does. We certainly gave ourselves the BEST GIFT – THE GIFT OF HEALTH with the best practitioner, what more can we ask!

We made it to her clinic Monday morning at 11 am and another session is due in 3 days later. Because it’s been raining and all our booked tours has been cancelled, they quickly made some changes for us to go back the following day so we can have the rest of the week free. With 2.5-hour drive and 1 hour difference between the states due to Daylight Saving, it means getting up at 5:00 am for our 9 am appointment.

Hitting the road at 6:15 the rain started to fall. Half an hour to our journey, it was raining cats and dogs… it was also very windy and the visibility was very poor we had to slow down for safety but we made it in time.

By this time, we've been on the road for with little rest and sleep two nights in a row. Finishing our second session feels like a heavy weight was lifted and I feel lighter and brighter, and to my surprise we're both feeling energetic and in a really good mood!

Going out for our anniversary dinner that night, I wore a simple smart casual attire without make up, just serum and moisturiser. When your skin is glowing, who needs make up!

Keep the Flow

Determined to keep my lymph fluid flowing, I do it even while on the road.

On the road on our way back home, I was doing the sequence on my breast with Chesley's eye-catching gloves, ... I noticed the truck driver looking down at me!

I had to stop for a while until he had overtaken us!

Who knows what he could be thinking!
